The first international “Fascination of Plants Day” will be held on May 18th (*). In the hotel Tigaiga we are preparing for the occasion and today we planted a “Eugenia unifoliolate” tree and a “Trachycarpus fortunei” palm to increase the number of plant species in our gardens. This week we have planted new Phoenix canariensis palm trees in our garden Tigaiga.
Thus, we stick to our motto:
Tigaiga, a hotel with more palm trees than beds!

our “organ-pipe cactus” (Pachycereus pecten-aboriginum) will bloom soon with its white flowers, which are up to 5cm long and funnel-shaped.

We would like to thank Mr. Dixon, a professional garden & flower photographer and loyal Tigaiga guest.
Mr. Dixon invited our visitors to see his impressive botanical film, with clear close-up shots of blooming flowers rich in colour and detail, taken at a number of locations including Tenerife.
He gave a wonderful photographic lecture of plant & flower photography which we greatly enjoyed.
