We would like to thank Mr. Dixon,  a professional garden & flower photographer and loyal Tigaiga guest.

Mr. Dixon invited our visitors to see his impressive botanical film, with  clear close-up shots of blooming flowers rich in colour and detail, taken at a number of locations including Tenerife.

He gave a wonderful photographic lecture of plant & flower photography which we greatly enjoyed.

In the last five years, public administrations invested € 51 million in Puerto de la Cruz. The repair of roads, pedestrian zones, squares, public gardens as the Taoro Park, public furniture and building facades have been accomplished.

And, finally, also the restoration of the coastal path “Sendero de la Costa” is progressing!

In the category “Improvement and landscape integration in business premises” the jury members unanimously awarded a Special Mention to the Hotel Tigaiga.

According to the jury this is a  recognition for the efforts and trajectory of this company in landscape conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.

The awards ceremony was held last Friday at the Salon Noble of the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife.

Experts have considered that our solar collectors , show a very good maintainance; however they have been in service for 25 years!

Now works began to replace 80 solar collectors (91 m2) for 25 new flat plate collectors from CONSTANTE SOLAR model CU-1208-P (61 m2).

In 15 consecutive years, the hotel Tigaiga once again receives the award Holly in 2009. This award, given by TUI, is based on the recognition and satisfaction from customers of the German tour operator.

Furthermore, for the 13th time since its creation, the hotel Tigaiga also wins TUI Environmental Champion this year. This award, also given by the biggest tour operator,  is based in the areas of eco-hotel management (including issues such as energy management, environmental and social engagement, communication and staff training).
