Students don’t, for instance, come into contact with nature” says Monique Touw, instigator of the <strong>School At Sea</strong> project. This is why today, the Dutch sailing ship’s crew members joined by thirty secondary school students and teachers enjoyed a tour around <strong>Tigaiga hotel subtropical gardens</strong> on their way to America!</p>

After organizing the starting conference all present had time for casual talks during the coffee-break in our gardens.
We wish all 581 pupils a good start to this new academic year!

The Hotel Tigaiga accepted one of the <strong>British Yeoward School</strong> students on work placement as we have done since the beginning of this educational initiative. As in previous years, the placements start the second week in June.</div>
<div>This year <strong>Eva</strong>, a student from year 11 who had shown particular interest in a work placement in a tourism environment, tri-lingual in English, Spanish and German, cooperated very helpfully with our restaurant staff, reception, housekeeping, kitchen and gardeners.</div>

<p>In recent months we have had in the hotel Tigaiga</p>

<p>- A Year 10 student  from the International British Yeoward School  as part of the Work Expierence Programme 2009</p>
<p>- And this year we participated with students in their end of  term projects of the Master in Tourism Management and Planning of the University of La Laguna.</p>
